Deutsche Welle Cologne

The collaboration

One of our largest cranes, the Terex Demag CC3800, has been deployed at the Deutsche Welle in Cologne. The customer used the crane to dismantle and transport down construction parts on an office building. The choice of this crane is due to its lifting height of up to 192 metres and maximum lifting capacity of 650 tonnes.

To get this machine operational and in place, PFEIFER' mechanics assembled the machine on site. This took a week and the various parts of this machine were transported to site by 24 low-loaders.

Also during the rental period, our mechanics visited the site to carry out the necessary maintenance on the machine and check that it was still safe to use. The customer rented this machine for a long time, namely 1.5 years. After that, the Terex CC3800 was dismantled again by our skilled mechanics and transported to our workshop in separate parts to receive a maintenance check, so that the next customer could once again make use of a properly functioning machine.
