The name TEUPEN goes back to 1977, when Bernd Teupen founded the company in Gronau, Germany. Teupen Maschinenbau went on to become the only manufacturer of tracked aerial lifts producing entirely in Germany, developing into a world leader in crawler-mounted spider lifts for both indoor and outdoor use. Over the following decades the company built its reputation on German engineering combined with unconventional, creative solutions to height-access challenges, using only certified standard parts from top suppliers to keep quality consistent across its range. Following a period under private equity ownership and a minority stake taken by Chinese manufacturer Dingli, Teupen was acquired by US utility equipment manufacturer Altec, which continues to build on Teupen's line of insulated and non-insulated spider lifts. Today Teupen is regarded as a leading specialist in compact, tracked aerial work platforms for construction, facility maintenance, tree care, and industrial applications worldwide.

THE TEUPEN WORKING PLATFORM RANGE

Used TEUPEN machines at PFEIFER are found in our Spider Platforms category. The TEUPEN LEO series, including models such as the LEO 30T, 31T, 35T, and 36T, are tracked spider lifts with working heights from roughly 30 to 36 metres, reach up to nearly 20 metres, and a 200kg basket capacity, most running on a 230V electric motor combined with diesel and featuring remote control operation. Several LEO models also offer hydraulically height- and width-adjustable tracks, allowing the machine to pass through narrow doorways before widening its stance for stability once in position. Alongside the LEO range, TEUPEN also produces the EURO B20T, a truck-mounted platform on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis driveable on a B/3 licence, with a 20 metre working height and 12.6 metre reach.
