The name STILL goes back to 1920, when Hans Still founded the company in Hamburg, Germany, originally as a repair workshop for electric motors, generators, and transformers. STILL presented its own products at the Leipzig Fair as early as 1924, and after the Second World War introduced the innovative EK 2000 electric truck, followed by its first true forklift, the EGS 1000, marking its breakthrough as a manufacturer of industrial trucks. The company went on to develop the free-view mast for improved operator visibility and, in the 1970s, presented the R 70, an early hybrid-drive forklift that laid the groundwork for today's RX 70 Hybrid. Since 2006 STILL has been part of the KION Group, Europe's largest manufacturer of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment by unit sales. With more than a century of German engineering heritage, STILL is recognised as one of the world's leading intralogistics brands.
