Grove stands for innovation in the field of cranes. The American company Grove was founded in 1947 by the brothers Dwight L. Grove and partner Wayne A. Nicarry. The company had plants in the USA and Germany. Grove started out making hoisting products for farm wagons. That went well, because in 1967 the company already had more than 1,000 employees.

In 2002 Grove was purchased by the company Manitowoc. This company also delivers innovative lifting solutions for various industries. Today, Manitowoc is well known on five continents for its extensive and excellent productline with cranes.
